Dear Traveler;
We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Anne and Phil Bongiorno, who will be hosting this wonderful and special journey. I am a local college professor in public health and nursing, and am highly knowledgeable about Central and South American peoples. Currently I teach at the State University of New York and at Simmons College. Phil is a local businessman and my spouse He is my ‘right hand’ man, a member of Rotary International and co-chair of their International committee.
For the last 10 years Philip and I have been leading highly successful trips abroad, with travelers of all ages and interests to locations such as Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico. Our personal philosophy is that traveling with a purpose greatly enriches one’s experience and provides incomparable memories, and it will be a privilege to share our international experiences and expertise with you on this tour to Peru. As trip leaders, we will personally escort you throughout the entire trip and facilitate your personal growth throughout.

We have learned that in the giving to others we enrich our own lives beyond measure. There is no better feeling than sharing our time and talents with indigenous families while exploring stunning vistas and out-of-the way places. Learn to weave with Peruvian women, share mural painting and cookie baking with children who are struggling with self- esteem, visit with village elders or help out in a health promotion clinic. You may also choose dedicated time for developing your own art portfolio, creating your own masterpieces, visit with Peruvian artists and view the famous works of others. All this is included and more!
We have personally created a stimulating but well-paced itinerary that is perfect for all types of travelers. For those with artistic interests, special itinerary options abound, including time to paint and sketch and special art activities. Families with older children and teens can enjoy the trip as well, with special programs that appeal to multi-generational groups such as working with children in a community center baking project or gardening with villagers in the highlands.Those interested in medicine, dentistry, nursing or social science can experience clinics and health promotion activities. Solo travelers can enjoy communal dining and opportunities for making new friends. Our trips are inclusive of all ages and interests and we tailor each day to the interests of the group. Every day will bring new cultural experiences, historical sites, outdoor adventure and amazing food experiences.
